A new discount grocery is coming to Ashwaubenon soon.
The village has granted Aldi permission to remodel the former H.H. Gregg store next to Barnes and Noble on Oneida Street.
There's no word yet on when construction will begin.
Because there's a residential complex behind the building, the village may restrict delivery times.
“It gives the Ashwaubenon residents and any residents that are within the area, an option on where to go and get groceries and pick up a few items on the way home,” Mary Kardoskee, Village of Ashwaubenon President.
Aldi also is planning to build a new store in De Pere. That could be open by this fall.
