80-year-old woman injured in crash

An 80-year-old woman was injured in a crash in the Town of Oneida. 

On October 16, 2018 at 11:22am, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one vehicle crash on Ranch Rd west of Van Boxtel Rd in the Town of Oneida. 

Police say an 80-year-old woman passenger in a 2003 Ford pickup sustained life threatening injuries. The male driver, her 71 year old husband, was not injured.  The driver was westbound on Ranch Rd. when he fell asleep. 

The vehicle entered the south ditch and struck a driveway culvert sending it across the roadway before coming to rest in the north ditch.  Both people in the vehicle were wearing their seatbelt. The woman was transported by County Rescue to a local hospital. 

The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by Oneida PD, and Town of Oneida Fire and First Responders.  The road was closed for approximately 3 hours.  The crash remains under investigation.
