Grand Chute firefighters were called to the Comfort Inn & Suites on West Wisconsin Avenue for reports of a near drowning victim. The incident happened just before 6:00 PM on Monday. The 8-year-old boy was pulled from the water and was unconscious. A bystander was performing CPR as the rescue team arrived.
The victim was taken to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton and later flown to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His condition is unknown at this time.
