One woman has died following a crash in Hobart, according to the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department.
Police say officers were sent to the scene of a two-car crash at around 1:29 p.m on Monday. The crash was reported on Highway 29, east bound at CTH U, in Hobart.
According to a news release from police, a Silver Toyota Avalon driven by a 20-year-old Shawano man was traveling east bound on Highway 29 and hit a Black Buick 4 door car, traveling north on CTH U. The Buick was driven by a 77-year-old woman from Minnesota. The passenger of the Buick, a 72-year-old woman from Franklin Wisconsin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police set up a detour for Highway 29 east bound at old 29 to CTH U to CTH VV to 29 east bound.
Police say alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors to the crash. Police are withholding names of the people involved in the crash until family members are notified. Police say the crash is under investigation and no other information will be released at this time.
