GRAND CHUTE, WI -- It's the 6th robbery in 30 days around the Grand Chute area. Monday morning, around 2:30 a.m. police responded to a armed robbery call at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Grand Chute.
Police say they are unsure if this robbery is related to the others. But in the other robberies, suspects wore dark clothing without words. The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 5-foot-10 inches, about 285 to 300 pounds and in his mid-30s to early 40s. He was wearing a red zip-up hoodie that had white hood ties and the words, "True Blood" printed on the front in white lettering. The man was also wearing blue jeans and black athletic shoes with orange soles.
Business owners in the area are on high alert. Loui Ebeling the owner of Class and Carry says it’s something people are talking about in the area. Her store is just down the street from La Quinta Inn & Suites.
“Criminals are getting bolder and that hits us in the core” says Ebeling
Police also say they have increase their patrol of the area and also are reaching out to business owners to make sure they know how to stay safe in a threatening situation.
