It's a New Year's Day tradition that is always a sight to see.
The 30th annual Jacksonport Polar Plunge took place on Friday. Organizers say there were about 700-800 people who jumped into Lake Michigan, and it's not just for Wisconsinites.
“I had 5 or 6 people come up to me from Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Germany, Panama saying they came up to do the swim. So it's become quite a popular thing,” said Joe Jarosh, his son organizes the plunge.
This year, those who jumped in say it was easier than other years because of the mild weather, with the air temperature of 25, and the water temperature of 35.
