KAUKAUNA, Wis—Two people are recovering from burns, and a firefighter is recovering from an ankle injury after a house fire.
It happened in the 800 block of Crooks Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Three people lived in the home, but were able to make it out.
When crews arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the kitchen, and smoke coming from the front and rear doors.
The Kaukauna Fire Department says the fire started on the kitchen stovetop.
The fire was under control in about an hour and fifteen minutes.
The Red Cross is helping the three displaced by the fire.
Damage is estimated around $50,000.
