ASHLAND, Wis. (AP) -- Three people are dead in what police are calling a murder-suicide in Ashland.
The Ashland Daily Press reports (http://bit.ly/1U7uoTc ) that a family member visiting a home Thursday discovered the bodies shortly after noon on Thursday.
Police Capt. Jim Gregoire told the newspaper officers responded and found a man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers also discovered two women dead of gunshot wounds in the house.
Authorities haven't released the dead people's names pending notification of family. He said there was no indication of what could have led up to the shootings. The gun investigators believed was used in the shootings was found next to the dead man.
Ashland is a city of about 8,000 people on the shores of Lake Superior.
