Appleton, WI -- The Community Blood Center is hosting its 28th Annual MASH Blood Drive in Appleton on Wednesday.
The Community Blood Center and the AMVETS will set up tents to convert Houdini Plaza into a throwback mobile army hospital.
For every blood donation made, the Community Blood Center will make a monetary donation to the AMVETS organization.
It's an important time to donate to ensure there is an ample blood supply before the 4th of July holiday.
Local Be the Match representatives will be on site to register new marrow donors. They'll also be selling raffle tickets to win a 2016 Camero.
There will be other great opportunities to win prizes as well.
Every donor will receive a free commemorative MASH t-shirt.
A free lunch will be provided.
The event runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome until 5 p.m.
If you are under 16-years-old, you must bring a signed parental consent form. Everyone must bring a photo ID.
Make sure to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of water before your blood donation.
To schedule a blood donation, call (800) 280-4102 or visit www.communityblood.org.
