The Sheboygan Police Department has arrested a 14-year-old boy who is allegedly connected with several garage burglaries that took place over the weekend.
Police say earlier this week, three garage burglaries were reported in the Ellis Historic and Near North neighborhoods.
In one of these cases, the boy was allegedly confronted in the garage by a witness and fled the scene. According to a press release from the Sheboygan Police Department, the boy was armed with a steak knife.
A description of the boy was disseminated and a school resource officer recognized a possible suspect which was communicated to the investigating officer.
With this information, the investigating officer says he was able to locate evidence of the crimes at the suspects' house. The boy was later arrested and confessed to the crimes.
The boy is being held on two counts of burglary, one count of burglary while armed and two counts of theft of movable property.
He has been placed in the juvenile jail and referred to the District Attorney's Office.
