Overdose call leads police to 137 pot plants

In the early morning hours of April 9 the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch center received a call from a man at an address on Highway 152 in the town of Mt. Morris that a woman wasn't breathing and the man was performing CPR. Waushara County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Waushara County EMS responded to the call.

Upon arrival EMS tended to the woman and ultimately administered Narcan, which is used as an opiate blocker and is commonly used in opiate overdoses such as a heroin overdose. The woman positively responded to the Narcan and was transported to the Wild Rose Hospital.

Deputies spoke to the man and believed this was a heroin overdose. Deputies also smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. A detective was called out and a search warrant was drafted and approved for the Mark and Marla Reepsdorf residence on Highway 152 in the town of Mt. Morris.

During the execution of the search warrant heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized at the residence along with numerous firearms.

Waushara County Sheriff’s Office Investigators also located about 137 marijuana plants growing inside the residence. The investigation revealed information about heroin use and the manufacture and sales of marijuana at the Reepsdorf residence. This location was under investigation for suspected drug activity. Tips had been generated and were being looked at by the Sheriff’s Office before this incident

Mark Reepsdorf has been charged by the Waushara County District Attorney’s Office with 14 felony and two misdemeanor charges including manufacture/deliver THC, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug trafficking place and numerous charges of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Marla Reepsdorf has been charged by the Waushara County District Attorney’s Office with three felonies and a misdemeanor charge including possession of narcotic drugs (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacture/deliver THC and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Initial appearances are scheduled in Waushara County Circuit Court on May 24.
