GREEN BAY, Wis-- A 13-year-old was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire at a Green Bay home.
The fire happened around 6:00 p.m. Saturday on the 1100 block of 13th Ave.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department says a grease fire on the stove spread to the cabinets and a wall.
One adult, and two children are displaced because of the fire. They are staying with family.
Damage is estimated around $10,000.
Battalion Chief, Chris Ehmann says cooking is the number one cause of house fires, and reminds people to never leave cooking food unattended. He says you should turn off the stove if you must leave the kitchen.
