The Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity is kicking off a plan to revitalize neighborhoods across the Fox Valley. The organization has selected 10 neighborhoods to be part of the Rock the Block campaign. So far they've been gifted $1.9 million dollars of the $4 million they are hoping to raise for the three-year plan.
"After this three-year plan is complete, Habitat will have served more than 1,600 families by providing safe decent affordable housing solutions and engaged more than 10,000 community members in our work, " said John Weyenberg, Executive Director.
The 10 neighborhoods identified as priority service areas are:
2016 – Neenah, Downtown West Neighborhood (May 2nd – 7th)
- Menasha, Jefferson Park East Neighborhood (September 12th – 17th
- Kaukauna, Fassbender Park Neighborhood
- Menasha, Abbey Ave North Neighborhood
- Neenah, Abbey Ave South Neighborhood
- Appleton, Columbus School Neighborhood
- Kimberly, New Page Neighborhood
- Little Chute, Village Wide Event
- Menasha, Friendship Trailhead
- Menasha, Jefferson Park West
- Neenah, Washington Park
