Oshkosh Police responded early Sunday morning for reports of a cry for help, but couldn't find anything.
At around 5:30 a.m., police say officers responded to the area of the Oregon Street Bridge and the Fox River regarding two reports that someone was yelling for help from the area of the river.
Police say no one was spotted in the water. Oshkosh Police officers searched the shoreline of the river for several hours but didn't find anyone. The Oshkosh Fire Department assisted with the search by deploying their boat team to search the water way.
