NEENAH (NBC 26) — The City of Neenah held a community workshop where residents could voice their opinions about development plans for Downtown Neenah.
At the meeting, there were stations with interactive maps, city planners, and architects, where residents could voice their concerns and ideas for future plans.
Residents mentioned things like adding bike lanes so people are no longer riding bikes on the street or sidewalk, connecting trails from park to park, and implementing roundabouts downtown to help with traffic violations.
The city said they're also considering some mixed-use buildings, but some residents don't think Neenah needs any more multi-family housing.
Overall, people are excited to have an open conversation with city officials about future plans. Community Development is going to take everything they heard tonight into consideration as they work on plans for the future of Downtown Neenah.
