GREEN BAY, Wis. — It is hard to believe that in four months, marathon season will begin. The first of them to kick off in Northeast Wisconsin is the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon taking place on May 18-19.

On Saturday the 18th, the Cellcom 5k and WPS Kids Power Run will take place. The following day Sunday, the marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, and half marathon relay will take place.

Whether you are training for the full marathon of the half marathon, a lot of preperation needs to take place and to help runners out, the annual training runs presented by Prevea Sports Medicine will begin this weekend on Saturday at 7 a.m. and continues every Saturday until May 11th.

NBC26's Gino Recchia was live this morning at the Titletown Tap Room on 320 N Broadway, Green Bay where runners will meet on a weekly basis and was talking with marathon race directors and training run directors on what is new this year and how people can get involved with the weekly training runs and what you should do to train for a marathon.
