MANITOWOC (NBC 26) — An 80-year-old Manitowoc woman was injured Friday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in a marked crosswalk, according to police.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Friday at Waldo Boulevard and North 14th Street. Manitowoc police and fire crews responded to the scene for a report of a crash involving injuries.

Investigators said the woman was crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Manitowoc woman. Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
