Officer Brisk Honored with Memorial

A memorial recognizing a local officer who died while on duty was unveiled Thursday. Green Bay Police Captain Harold Brisk  served from 19-46 to 19-71.  He died unexpectedly at 48-years-old of a heart attack. But during his time as an officer, he made an impact on the community specifically in the youth.

High School students voted to have the park at  Day Street named in his honor so Officer Brisk would always be remembered. "A lot of people didn't know who Brisk was and now a lot of people will be able to play in the park and see who he was," said Mark Strogny.

Green bay police along with sponsors and donors funded the memorial. A mini spring ride was also refurbished at the park to look like a police officers motorcycle.
