CENTER, Wis. — Deputies say a driver crashed a pickup truck into two power poles.
The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department, Center Fire Department, and WE Energies responded to a crash in the town of Center early Thursday morning. A vehicle crashed into a pole at the intersection of Highway 47 and Pine Grove.
Authorities say a pick up truck that was headed north lost control. The truck took out two power poles, which WE energy is now replacing. Authorities say the driver ran off and officers are looking for that driver.
The crash happened at 2:16 a.m. 37 customers were affected by the power outage.
Highway 47 is closed from Cty Tk O to Cty Tk S and will remain closed for 5-7 hours, according to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department. The detour is Cty Tk S to Cty Tk EE to Cty Tk O/Wege Road.
