GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — UPDATE: The leak was contained, and residents were able to return to their homes at around 11:17 a.m. Thursday, according to the fire department.
ORIGINAL: Firefighters say residents within the block near Kimball and John streets in Green Bay need to evacuate immediately as crews respond to a gas leak.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department said Wisconsin Public Service crews are on scene working to address the leak.
Neighbors who live within the affected block are advised to evacuate immediately. Everyone else should avoid the area.
Anyone needing assistance evacuating should call 911, firefighters said.
