GREEN BAY, Wis.(NBC26) -- The Green Bay Packers have partnered up with several organizations to give back, but to also encourage others to do the same in their community.
The two-day volunteer projects get started on October 24th. They're part of the team's efforts for the NFL's "Huddle for 100," which is part of the league's 100th season and looks to inspire one million people to volunteer 100 minutes of their time to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
The Packers are encouraging fans and community members to share how they are giving back on social media by using #PackersHuddleFor100.
Packers employees will join in two days of volunteering in several ways throughout the community, including packing suitcases for foster kids with Wisconsin CASA and cleaning up the Broadway District. Packers employees will also help residents who are elderly or have disabilities with fall outdoor chores as part of "Make a Difference Day," which is one of the largest annual single days of service nationwide.
'Make a Differience' is this Saturday.
Last year, the Volunteer Center of Brown County coordinated the local Make A Difference Day efforts, which partnered more than 600 volunteers with over 75 senior and disabled homeowners in the community. For more on how to get involved, Click HERE.
