FOND DU LAC — The Fond du Lac Police Department is investigating a dog that was left behind after someone moved out, according to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, which posted photos of the dog on Facebook Monday.
The Humane Society has been feeding the dog small amounts of food and water around the clock since Sunday to try and keep him from dying of bloat, starting the long task of reversing the effects of starvation, severe dehydration and emaciation.
The Humane Society warns if you find an animal in this condition, the worse thing you can do is feed it as it can cause bloat and kill them quickly.
