KAUNKAUNA, Wis. — The 7th Annual Fairy Walk hosted by the Kaukauna Public Library and the 1000 Islands Nature Center will take place this Monday August, 26th at the 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaunkauna.

The event is free thanks to several sponsors including Berkers Family Dentistry, Kaukauna Family Dentistry, First Impressions Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, and Children's Dental Health Center.

Families will be able to stroll along the boardwalk in the woods and vote on which fairy house built of only natural materials prior to the event. The winner of the competition will receive a family membership to The Building for Kids. The winner will be announced at 7:15 p.m.

There will be live music courtesy of Dancemann DJ Service. Children will be able to dance with fairy wings, create a crown, wand and fairy charm bracelet crafts, and get a balloon from our balloon twisters, Mikey Air and Festive Balloons.

Kids can also get their face painted, get a fun fairy temporary tattoo and have their hair sprayed a fun color at the fairy hair station, sponsored by Shear Envy Salon.

Don't forget to take a photo with our giant fairy wings at the photo station!

Children can create their own Starter Fairy Garden courtesy of 1,000 Islands, planting wildflower seeds to take home to start their gardens that will appeal to butterflies and fairies alike!

Throughout the night, author Linda Vender Heyden will be reading her book Mr. McGinty's Monarchs.

Last year more than 900 people came out to explore the woods near the center and take part in the fun activities.
