CHILTON ( NBC 26) -- Several changes and clarifications came down this week after Tony Evers lifted some restrictions as part of the safer at home order. The order was then overturned by the Wisconsin Supreme court on Wednesday evening, regardless of updates at local and state levels, drive in movie theaters are allowed to open with safety precautions.

There are only eight drive in movie theaters in the state. Chilton Twilight Drive In tells us they expect to be busy since there are so few in the state and they will not be allowing its typically 200 vehicle capacity on the lot for now.

Co-owner, Mike Radue, says they have been preparing and planning for awhile since they knew drive in theaters were different since people can stay separate in the vehicles. Once the mandate was updated they knew they would be ready with several safety precautions put in place.

Radue says they're excited to open and they ask for the public's patience as they work diligently to be safe and continue social distancing.
