A risk of showers and thunderstorms will continue for the next couple of days as we situate ourselves on the northern edge of a stationary boundary which will be responsible for several rounds of showers and thunderstorms.
High temperatures today will climb into the mid to upper 80s with light winds out of the north to northeast at 5 to 10 mph. it will be humid with dew points in the 60s to around 70 degrees. A slight chance of a thunderstorm is possible as well.
Temperatures cool off for the next few days with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 Wednesday and Thursday. We will also have a slight chance of a pop up shower or storm, but once again, a better chance of storms will be downstate.
We finally take a break from the risk of storms Friday through the weekend with highs in the lower 80s.
The heat and humidity does return next week with showers and storms once again in the picture.
