Temperatures will be falling to below average territory this week as a northwest flow returns to the area pushing away the heat and humidity.

Temperatures fall into the upper 40s and lower 50s tonight with light west winds.

We see the winds pick up tomorrow up to 30 mph gusts with mostly sunny skies across the area.

There will be a couple chances of rainfall with the best chance on Thursday and Friday. Those days will also have the warmest days of the week with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Overall temperatures will be near normal with highs below average some days in the mid to lower 60s, and other days in the mid to upper 70s. The latest temperature trend from the Climate Prediction Center does have us under below average temperatures as we end the second half of the month so don't put away those sweaters just year.
