We cool off into the lower 50s tonight with winds turning calm as high pressure moves overhead. Perfect night to star gaze or crack the windows for some fresh air!
A much cooler start to the weekend, with highs Saturday in the lower to mid 70s, under a light northeast wind around 5-10 mph. This lake breeze will keep towns nearby at highs in the 60s. We all will have sunny skies with some clouds and a few sprinkles possible by the evening.
As the high pressure departs Sunday, temperatures will climb a tad warmer, into the mid and upper 70s. There is a slight chance of an isolated shower or storm later in the afternoon and evening, before a big warm front brings heat and humidity back to the area again.
The 90 degree temperatures are back in full force to kick off the week, Monday and Tuesday. Humidity will be oppressive and miserable as well. Hopefully most, if not all, folks in Northeast Wisconsin will have their power restored before this extreme heat happens. We will have a slight chance of some showers and storm each day early next week, but the potential is limited.
The official Astronomical start to SUMMER is on Tuesday, highs behind it cool off, Wednesday and Thursday, but still remain above average in the mid 80s.
