We got a taste of September this afternoon as temperatures only made it into the low 70s under mostly sunny skies. It was also a bit breezy, with winds at times gusting up to 20 miles per hour.
As we head into the evening, temperatures will fall into the 60s as the clouds move out and winds quiet down. Tonight, expect mostly clear skies and calm winds. Temperatures will continue to tumble through the 60s and 50s, eventually reaching the mid to upper 40s. A few spots could even dip into the upper 30s.
Monday morning starts off chilly, with temperatures in the 40s under sunny skies. The abundant sunshine will help warm us up, with temperatures quickly rebounding into the mid to upper 70s by the afternoon.
Our next chance for rain arrives Tuesday, with a stray shower possible in the afternoon before more scattered showers and storms move in Tuesday night into Wednesday.
For the rest of the week, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine, with temperatures staying in the mid-70s to low 80s through the end of next weekend—around where we should be for the last full week of August.
