OSHKOSH, Wis. — For one night only, the Wisconsin Herd will adopt a cheesy mascot: the cheese curd.

On Friday, the Bucks' G-league affiliate becomes "the Wisconsin Curd" as it hosts the Lakeland Magic at 7 p.m. at Menominee Nation Arena.

The Herd's cheese curd-themed uniforms will be auctioned off at whcurd.afrogs.org, with bids accepted until Sunday at noon. All proceeds benefit Food4Kids and the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry.

"Oh, I like it," head coach Jordan Brady said when he saw the jerseys for the first time. Brady said he and the players enjoy fun uniforms from time to time, like this and the ugly Christmas sweater uniforms they donned for the holidays.

"I think it's great. For this market, I think it's awesome. Cheese curds are like the state food, isn't it? Is that the food of Wisconsin?" Brady joked.

Herd fans are also able to score a Herd beanie if they are one of the first 1,500 fans to bring a nonperishable food item to the game. Those donations can be dropped off at the donation tent outside of the arena and will benefit Food4Kids.
