The UW-Green Bay women's basketball team (7-1) cracked the AP Top 25 for the first time this season, coming in at No. 23 in the national poll.
This weekend, the Phoenix beat Marquette, then ranked No. 23. The win was Green Bay's second over a ranked opponent in its last three contests.
The Phoenix boast the top defense in the nation, allowing just 45.4 points per game through their first eight games, which have included four teams from the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
With this ranking, Green Bay has now been ranked at some point during seven of its last eight seasons.
UW-Green Bay's next game is at Dayton at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
