ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) -- One of the fascinating things about Lambeau Field and its surrounding areas are the neighborhoods. Homes surround Lambeau Field and on gameday these homes are opened up to people getting ready for the game.

Anywhere close to Lambeau the prices are going to be high anywhere from 35 to 50 bucks and some parking lots won’t let you tailgate - you are only there to park your car. But starting just two blocks away from the stadium, the price drops down to around $20. Instead of parking lots, fans are parking on people’s driveways.

"It’s kind of like one big family you know, when they park,” said one homeowner, Tina Dufresne. “Some will leave right away, and others will stay and then we get to meet them, and they offer us their food or drink. I let them use our bathroom. It’s kind of cool and such a fund day."

Now the farther away from the stadium you go the cheaper it will be to park, but it is a much longer walk to the stadium. After driving around the perimeter of Lambeau Field, the only free parking is on the street, but you will have to get there hours in advance of kickoff because the streets are already full.
