SHEBOYGAN — A Sheboygan woman who's suffering from cancer says the Packers generosity at the perfect time gave her another shot at life. Mary Kaquatosh of Sheboygan was diagnosed with lung cancer back in 2015.

"That was when I was at my lowest,” said Mary. “My worst."

Recently, her daughter decided they should have a benefit for her mom to help with her medical expenses. Like any good daughter of a serious Packers fan, she reached out to the Packers directly to see if they would send something for the benefit.

Turns out, the Packers do stuff like that for their fans and Mary’s daughter was soon in possession of an autographed football, a football that she rushed to her mom's house at a moment when her mom was lying on the floor on the brink of death.

"The doctors told her had it been two hours, that if she waited two hours, I would have died,” said Mary. “If that football hadn't come when it did, and her wanting to bring it to me to show when she did, I wouldn't be here."

Mary has just returned home from the hospital. She's doing much better and already she's hoping that her prized football will mean as much to the person who purchases it at her benefit as it did to her.

"That ball was to keep me here for longer,” Mary said. “That autographed ball, the only reason I’m still here is because of that autographed football."

Mary is calling the ball priceless, but with mounting medical costs and the fact that she can no longer work, she says she's willing to part with it.
