MADISON, Wis. — NFL superstar and former Badgers' defensive end will be returning to his old stomping grounds as the commencement speaker for the UW-Madison Spring 2019 graduates.
The announcement came from a video tweet by the university.
In the video, Watt thanks the class of 2019 for selecting him to be the commencement speaker and how excited he is to be back at Camp Randall Stadium.
He jokingly adds that he hopes the university doesn't realize he hasn't graduated yet either and wouldn't mind a diploma finding its way to him either.
The ceremony will be held May 11 at Camp Randall Stadium.
