After taking home two 1st place medals at state on Tuesday, Brigitta Neverman was all smiles.
"When I touched first and looked up at the board it was so exciting and I looked at my parents and they were just as excited," Neverman said.
Neverman won 1st place in both the 200 individual medley and the 100 yard butterfly. She joins her older brother, Kaiser, as a state champion who was just as ecstatic to hear the news all the way from the University of Minnesota.
"He was face-timing my mom after the meet. He was really excited, so he's very proud of me."
