The WIAA released brackets for the 2018 boys basketball state tournament Sunday.
Local No. 1 seeds include Oshkosh North and Bay Port (Division 1); Kaukauna (D2); Xavier, Valders and Waupun (D3); Oconto and Roncalli (D4); as well as Sheboygan Area Lutheran (D5).
Oshkosh North is coming off a convincing 88-67 takedown of Kaukauna Friday, avenging the Spartans' only loss on the season and all but locking up the Fox Valley Association conference crown. The contest was the second meeting this season between the state's top dogs in Division 1 and Division 2, respectively.
Meanwhile, undefeated Xavier looks to defend its Division 3 state championship, in its first regional game, against the winner of the Oconto Falls/Fox Valley Lutheran March 2 game.
