Luxemburg-Casco has won the traveling trophy the last two years against Little Chute, but in tonight's contest, the Mustangs struck first. But, the Spartans quickly countered.
On a fake, Spartans QB Garrett Aissen found Nashan Coisman for a near-pick that turned into a 37-yard touchdown.
In the second quarter, Little Chute regained the lead on a Jacob Lillge score, 14-7.
On the ensuing kickoff, Luxemburg-Casco's Lance Tebon took off and no Mustang was fast enough to stop a 92-yard touchdown to tie it up again 14-14.
The Spartans took their first lead of the game in the second half but it didn’t last long thanks to Isaac Van Deurzen, whose rushing touchdown up the middle tied the game yet again at 21-21.
Late in the third quarter, the Spartans had to convert to stay in the game, but Garret Aissen was picked off in the end zone by Jacob Lillge, who had plenty highlights on both sides of the ball Friday night.
Issac Van Deurzen sealed the deal with a 33-yard score, his second of the game, and Little Chute beat Luxemburg-Casco, 47-21.
