Kewaunee's Owen Carlson began the new year with a bang, returning the opening kickoff of the Storm's season opener with Kiel for a 100-yard touchdown.
The Storm didn't cruise to a victory, though. Kiel responded with two second quarter touchdowns to take a 14-12 lead at halftime.
But Kewaunee controlled the game on the ground in the second half, pulling away to win 28-21. Carlson had two touchdowns in the Storm's season-opening win.
