Jackson is a 2017 unanimous consensus first-team All-American.
“We all know the situation as far as getting depth at that position, and we definitely did that today,” said Alonzo Dotson, Packers college scout.
He led the country with eight interceptions, tying a Hawkeye sing-season record.
“Incredible. Strong. Smart. Can jab people at the line of scrimmage with those long arms. Has an uncanny ability to get out of those breaks and play down the field,” said Dotson.

Wisconsin fans may remember Jackson. He had two interceptions returned for a touchdown against the Badgers in 2017.
Jackson is physically more in line with the body type the Packers like at corner: 6 feet tall, 196 pounds in comparison to Alexander’s 5-foot-10, 196-pound frame. He ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at the Combine, so he’s not as blazing as Alexander’s 4.38 time.
“He can cut, tackle down, wrap up, so I have no issues with (his tackling).”
“He earned his way and when he did he did a great job.”
“He knows how to cut things off and leverage routes so the speed never really worried us.” @packers #NFLDraft

Dotson also compared Jackson to former Packer and Pro Bowler for the Bills Micah Hyde, who was also an Iowa Hawkeye.
The corner called in to talk to the media gathered at Lambeau Field after his selection.
