Thousands of teddy bears tumbled to the ice at the Resch Center Saturday night in the Green Bay Gamblers' 19th annual Teddy Bear Toss.
The Gamblers say they have collected more than 100,000 teddies over the years during this event. The furry friends are donated to pediatric patients at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and clinics as well as other community organizations.
Fans are asked to bring a new bear to the game, and when the Gamblers score their first goal, the teddies fly to the ice. On Saturday, McKade Webster scored the Gamblers' first goal, en route to Green Bay's fifth straight win, 4-2.
That #TeddyBearToss was no joke 😳 @GamblersHockey say they’ve collected more than 100,000 teddies over the years in this annual event. I’ll have video of the goal and teddy bear toss later tonight on @NBC26! pic.twitter.com/oozTNNLjxB
