ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - Former Notre Dame Academy hockey star Max McCormick is about to enter his fifth professional season with the Ottawa Senators. Before he heads north of the boarder, he's giving back to the next generation of stars here in Wisconsin.

"You see smiles on their faces and how much fun their having, it reminds me of when you were young looking up to players in your home town," McCormick said. "It's fun to be on the other side of that and give back to them."

The fourth annual McCormick Hockey School wrapped up Friday afternoon at Cornerstone Arena in Ashwaubenon. The clinic offers kids both on and off ice training and even nutritional programs. Max started the program right after he turned pro and says it's been growing ever since.

"I think we want to install a good work ethic in them and set the culture that if they're willing to put in the work over the summers and put in some time, they can take their career as far as they want."
