DULUTH, Minn. - In only their second year as team, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders captured the Northwoods League Summer Collegiate World Series on Friday. The Spiders defeated the Duluth Huskies, 4-3 in a decisive game three of the series.
Fond du Lac won the first game before falling 8-1 in game two.
In game three, trailing 3-2 in the 7th inning, Appleton native and former Appleton North Lightning star Alex Henwood hit a two-RBI single that scored Braden Stutzman and Jack Wassel giving the Spiders a 4-3 lead.
