Fond du Lac won the first game before falling 8-1 in game two.
In game three, trailing 3-2 in the 7th inning, Appleton native and former Appleton North Lightning star Alex Henwood hit a two-RBI single that scored Braden Stutzman and Jack Wassel giving the Spiders a 4-3 lead. Jon Young and Michael Young combined to pitch three scoreless innings out of the bullpen to secure the win.
Fond du Lac joined the league in 2017 and finished the second half of the 2018 regular season just 18-18. They are the 16th franchise to win the Northwoods League Championship.
