OSHKOSH — A familiar face is returning to coach Oshkosh West. Dan Weisse who starred for the program in the late 1990s earning him a spot in the Wildcats Hall of Fame and he then starred at U-W Milwaukee — is going to roam the sidelines and try to turn around a team that finished third to last in the Fox Valley association last year. The Wildcats haven’t had a winning team in over a decade.

Weisse has spent the last few years as the head coach at the University of Minnesota Crookston at the NCAA Division 2 level.

“I had a great experience at Oshkosh West,” Weisse said. “(I) played for Steve Randle, one of the best high school coaches ever. My experience with him, he made me a better player, a better person. It's the right time for me. It's a unique opportunity and I want to give the current players the same kind of pride that I still have in (Oshkosh) West, even though I've been removed for 20 plus years.”
