Authorities investigated the death of a father and daughter in Fond du Lac county Friday morning.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a home on Golf Course Dr. in the Town of Empire. Deputies said a home health care worker called 9-11 at about 7:30 in the morning and said she found her patient 27-year-old Julia Whitmore dead when she arrived to work at the home.
Captain Ryan Waldschmidt said deputies found a second person 62-year-old Mark Whitmore dead at the house.
Deputies have determined this death is a murder-suicide. They say autopsies for both victims have been completed. Julia Whitmore died of ligature strangulation, and after killing Julia, Mark Whitmore died of a self-inflicted knife wound. According to deputies, Julia was wheelchair bound and Mark was her primary caregiver.
At this time no solid motive for the murder has been determined.
