The three people charged in what investigators call "one of the worst cases of animal abuse they have ever seen" pleaded not guilty in court on Wednesday.

Christy Tuchel, Breanna Mikula and Anthony Keyport all are facing several charges of animal abuse.

The charges come after Sheboygan County Deputies say they found more than 30 dead dogs in a freezer at the Kinship Companion Kennel, in the Town of Wilson, back in June. Deputies say they also seized 37 more dogs from the kennel.

At the preliminary hearing on Wednesday, attorneys for all three suspects claimed that authorities did not have enough evidence to charge them in this case. The judge disagreed and decided to proceed with the charges filed.

There's no word yet on when all three suspects will be back in court.
