Police are searching for a suspect who posed as a water utility worker to try and scam a homeowner in Sheboygan.
It happened between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday.
The man is described as 5'7" with a stocky build wearing beige pants and a beige jacket to resemble work clothing.
The suspect approached the home and said owners were using excessive amounts of water and asked to look at the meter.
Police say Sheboygan Water Utility employees wear blue uniforms and always have a name tag and identification visible.
Officers say don't let anyone into your home without proper identification.
