A Green Bay father has started a petition asking for the Board of Education to fire Green Bay Area Public School District Superintendent Dr. Michelle Langenfeld.
Elliott Christensen, whose children are in the district, started the petition after a former Washington Middle School teacher resigned over alleged incidents of violence and abuse at the school.
Christensen told NBC26 that Dr. Langenfeld has had six years to get a handle on the violence and harassment at Washington, but hasn't done enough.

Last school year alone, police were called to the school nearly every other day.
The petition says it's time for change and new leadership in the district.
"It seems like things have gotten worse, and now teachers are quitting because they fear for their safety," Christensen said. "That's unacceptable."
Christensen is asking for the Board to find a new superintendent immediately.
However, the school board said fixing the problems at Washington will take years.
"Changes like this in schools like this, they don't happen instantaneously," said Brenda Warren, School Board President. "They happen because teams start working better together, they happen because there are ongoing eyes looking at the situation. The idea of an interim superintendent, that wouldn't even make sense to me in a situation like this."
