Fond du Lac Police report 54-year-old Jeffrey J. Koenigs was pronounced dead at the scene, just after 1:30 this morning after being hit by a truck on South Park Avenue at East 2nd Street.
Officer's initial investigation shows he was walking in a crosswalk across South Park Avenue when he was struck by a pickup truck. The driver, a 51 year old Fond du Lac man was not injured. He was arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and operating without a valid driver's license.
The crash remains under investigation.
