DE PERE, Wis. — Students are finding zen in a day of hectic recess and learning. Teachers at Heritage Elementary in De Pere said they've found a way to reset students by incorporating yoga in their class.

From different poses, it's all in an effort to relax and unwind students from the daily stress of school life.

"It helps me reset, from the things I did in the morning," said student Logan Frisque. "I just stretch out everything, or like I will make myself into a ball and it kinda helps me relax."

Students said they feel ready for class, and can focus on what's "present" in the class.

"A big part of it is to reduce anxiety which we're seeing as a trend, but to really focus on learning being happy, present in the moment, and being calm," said Principal Kathy Van Pay.

So far, it has been a hit with teachers, they believe it's making an impact on a students mind.

"I'm excited that this group is taking this on, enjoys it, and I plan on continuing it!" said teacher Leeann Busse.
