GREEN BAY, Wis. — There's many things that inspire you in life, maybe your heroes, family, and friends. For one special group of musicians, at Preble High School in Green Bay they say their motivation comes from the love of music.

Only 8 out of 30 music students, are chosen to be a part of a Jazz band combo, "these are the top jazz band kids, who can completely make up the music on their own," said instructor Andrew Bader. Students like junior Nolan Naniot, plays the electric and string bass, "I really found out I enjoy playing not just the instrument but doing music." He picked up bass in fifth grade, "the bass is responsible for two main things tempo, and accenting beats to know where they are in the song." Naniot said, being a part of the band, is much more than just playing an instrument, "you really have to enjoy the people you're working with." Like his friend, sophomore Andrew Vandenavond, who plays saxaphone. "The saxaphone is played by the vibrations from the mouth piece,: said Vandenavond.

He thanks his family, for pushing him, but also some of his inspirations, "It's just fun to jam out with friends."
