Hundreds of potatoes, and nutritious toppings for students at Green Bay East High School. Students had the opportunity to enjoy them, thanks to Wisconsin farmers.
Amanda Frisque, assistant director of food service for the school district, said "the response from the students, was surprisingly excited."
The idea is to bring in more healthy, locally grown options for students for lunch.
"It's important to us to support our local agriculture community of Wisconsin and showcase this to the students, that their community is important to us, and we want to give back that way," said Frisque.
